OAC Glossary of Terms and Acronyms

This glossary is intended to provide assistance to the sector.  However, it is not a mandatory glossary, as terms may be used differently for very good reasons.  If HEPs in Oman choose to use different definitions, then this should be made clear to the OAC Review Panels in order to avoid confusion.  The contents of this glossary will be added to over time and revised regularly.  Suggestions for this glossary are welcome and should be forwarded to enquiries@oac.gov.om.

Terms and acronyms in higher education and quality management can have different meanings in different places. Therefore, links to some other international glossaries are also provided below. Their inclusion is purely as an aid for the sector, and in no way constitutes an endorsement by the OAC.
