Oman Standard Classification of Education
Oman is establishing a framework for classifying fields of study. This will assist with such matters as the development of academic standards; program classification; enrolment statistics, and national reporting of academic offerings. Because it is based on international benchmarks, it may also help facilitate international credit transfer and international reporting.
OSCED is still in draft form and has been subject to extensive consultation within the sector. It is currently being finalized for approval. Progress will be reported here as it becomes available.
